short shorts. (Taken with instagram) this man is a fixture in my old cheeesman park neighborhood; he’s out and about all day.  when i lived there three years ago, i would see him every day while i was out walking boo.  he is very quiet and polite, barely talks to me, but loves dogs.  cute.  as soon as the weather gets slightly warm and sunny, he breaks out the short shorts-  tennis shorts, cut-off denim shorts, madras plaid shorts…  all SHORT SHORT!  and he is very, very tan and leathery.  even though i try to keep my age a bit of a mystery through good skin care, i kind of love when one’s skin tells a story.   sadly i don’t know his whole story, but, because i like to notice things, i have a little information.  he lives in an apartment building right across the street from the house where i last lived.  i didn’t know this until two weeks ago when i saw him on his balcony.  he may be a hoarder or an ebay store owner or the master of upcycling because he digs through alleys and dumpsters and always comes up with some sort of lamp or mirror or other coveted object.  what does he really do with all that stuff?  we may never know.
